THE SON OF MAN : Understanding the Gospel of Luke Part 02
For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost. – Luke 19:10 (KJV)
In this continuation of the Gospel of Luke, written especially with the Greeks in mind, we see the perfect man, perfect saviour, perfect Messiah carry on in ministry. As He gets more popular, He also faces more opposition, ironically from the religious elite who, above all people, should have been overjoyed to meet their long-awaited Messiah. Yet the Lord does not retreat in the face of controversy – He continues to teach parables, heal the sick, and cast out devils. Luke’s Gospel gives us unique glimpses of Jesus we can find no where else in Scripture. His accounts of crucifixion, resurrection, and post-resurrection appearances are invaluable. Welcome to the second part of our teaching on the Gospel of Luke.
